Important

Well, the Patreon poll ended. The one that talked about what we should do with the game moving forward.  The option that won said to merge both of the game's playstyles into one engine, so what does this mean?

Why was the poll made?

Background, BonBon's is comprised of two different files, Part A and Part B, they run on two different engines to merge playstyles that I can make with both of them. Part A is made on Renpy and holds the visual novel aspect of the game while Part B is made on Godot and houses the horror, fnaf version of the game. You have to enter a code from Part A to make Part B work. Then once you completed the night in Part B , you take the code you've won and put it into Part A to continue the story? Confusing right?

Well, I've been thinking for a while about whether I should merge both playstyles into one game, and it's bugging me that I haven't. A lot of people have had a problem with the two different games, and I can understand because I'd have a problem, too, with Part A and Part B. It seems easy because I've made it, but I know it doesn't look that way from the outside. People dm me, comment, and even downrate or stop playing because they can't understand it and that's not fair to the consumer. So that's why I made a poll, to truly get everyone's opinion on what should happen next.

So, what happens if I want both parts in my gameplay but the community doesn't want it split?

Next steps

So what comes next?

That answers simple, I'm gonna become the head programmer of my project. Previously, for Part B, Mydumbname was the head programmer for the game. (These are his personal games right here, go check em out- MyDumbName - itch.io). I'm going to try and use what he's already given me and use it to try and merge the visual novel aspect of the game with our fnaf horror concept that you guys enjoy. Now- there are a few hurdles to leap- I don't have much, if any, godot experience. I tried learning for like a month and nothing stuck. So here I am, I'm gonna have to try over and the game is going to unfortunately have to go into hiatus for it to become a better project overall.

Honestly, I'd say for about three months, I'm projecting us coming back in March of 2025. Theres too much I don't know about GOdot to sit there and prop myself up to make the game on my own, but if I have no progress by January, I'm gonna hire someone from the Godot discord for help. I wanna make the best project I can and hopefully, it'll let me improve my coding skills in the meantime.

What's gonna happen in the meantime?

Well, BonBon's is still going to be developed, no ifs and or buts about it. We have the artists, we have the writers. So we're going to continue to develop the game but it'll most likely be private, we'll release images and stuff to the Patreon to let yall know what we're working on, honestly, I'm not promising anything but we can be done with day one and night two by the time we come back.

ALSO, We're still developing another game- OR at least I am. Check out Low-ranked Heroes, an MHA parody nsfw game! We're releasing a new demo this Sunday and going to release update 0.11 at the end of this month- Low ranked heroes by Blam. It's cool and we're putting a lot of time into it so check it out this Sunday.

Worst case scenario

If by some miracle, I don't learn anything in the next few months and at the same time, I don't find someone able to help us with the game. I'm just going to develop it as a visual novel. This option sucks because there's so much shit I wanna add (Free roam, minigames, working arcade machines-)

But I'm not going to delay the game and story because of my own shortcomings, I promise this situation won't be like Fridas: Down Below.
